Data Deletion Policy

Riva does NOT store any user data on external servers.
All data is stored locally on your device only. Since we don't collect or store your data remotely, there's nothing for us to delete on our end.

1. How to Delete Your Data

Option A: Delete All Data (Keep App Installed)

  1. Open Riva app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll to Data Management section
  4. Tap "Clear All Data"
  5. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted:

  • All period entries
  • All cycle history
  • All user preferences
  • Notification settings
  • Any exported files (from app storage)

Data is deleted immediately and permanently.

Option B: Uninstall the App (Complete Removal)

  1. Go to your phone's Settings
  2. Select Apps or Application Manager
  3. Find Riva
  4. Tap Uninstall
  5. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted:

  • The Riva application
  • All period data and cycle history
  • All preferences and settings
  • All local database files
  • All app cache and temporary files

Data is deleted immediately when you uninstall.

Note: This action cannot be undone. Export your data before uninstalling if you want to keep it!

Option C: Export Before Deleting (Recommended)

If you want to keep a copy of your data before deletion:

  1. Open Riva app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap "Export Data"
  4. Choose location to save CSV file
  5. Then follow Option A or B above

Format: CSV (Comma-Separated Values) — can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, or any text editor.

4. Third-Party Services (If Enabled)

Riva currently operates 100% offline with no third-party integrations.

To verify local data is deleted:

  1. Clear all data from Settings
  2. Close and reopen the App
  3. Check that no cycle data appears
  4. Verify calendar is empty

Even if you contact us, we cannot delete:

Q: How long does deletion take? Immediate for local data. 30 days maximum for cloud data (if enabled).
Q: Can I recover deleted data? No, deletion is permanent. Export data before deleting if you want to keep it.
Q: Do you keep backups? No, we don't store your data on servers.
Q: Does uninstalling delete my data? Yes, uninstalling removes all app data from your device.
Q: Can I delete only some data? You can manually delete individual periods from the calendar. "Clear All Data" removes everything.
Q: How do I export before deleting? Settings → Export Data → Save CSV → Then delete.
